Is no news good news?

Just noticed this morning that Time Warner Cable News has vanished on 900 WUAM! It's now a simulcast with 1160 WABY. I then tried their FM side ... 106.1 ... but THAT was dead air! I'm wondering if this is permanent? Or is the FM side having xmitter issues? I remember hearing the murmurs last year about changes to the FM simulcast, but nothing about dumping it off AM 900. Personally I think it's a waste of a signal with 1160 on there. Their daytime reach is pretty good, unless all they're looking for is to be heard after sunset closer to Albany. But 900's night signal is so awful I can't see it would make much difference.
