Is Pop/Rock going to be the next big thing in chr?

The whole pop/rock, alternative, and rock sound has been pushed underground on CHR Top 40. This means it's due to make a huge come back at some point. Could we be on the verge of a pop/rock explosion that leads to a new wave of full alternative and rock bands that cross over into chr?

Have any of you noticed any Top 40 or rhythmic pop stations beginning to lean more pop/rock or simply adding more modern pop/rock hits than usual?

^Z100/New York is playing more pop/rock than they have in over a decade - they're among the format leaders for "The A Team" by Ed Sheeran (52 spins per week), and "Home" by Phillip Phillipps (54 spins per week)

Same with KDWB/Minneapolis - "The A Team" 108 spins per week, "Home" 107 spins per week, "Ho Hey" by the Lumineers 76 spins per week, "50 Ways To Say Goodbye" by Train 76 spins per week, and just added Imagine Dragons "It's Time"

WNOU/Indianapolis has also become a big pop/rock/Alt leaner sometime in the past few years - not sure when...
