Is Providence a dead market?

<font color=blue> Ch:12 tried to take on Ten as best it could and that ment sleazing things up. The former GM made some kind of public admission of what he thought of the audience and that sort of ended their assendency. NBC/Ten has been dominent which has lead to complacency. They simply don't care about being good anymore or they would have brought in a topflight anchor. Having Brian Williams and the Today Show as leads is a great asset. But the NBC O&O station needs some new blood to get back where they were.
As far as talent goes, I think it's weaker and much of ch:10 seems to have moved up to Fox 25. The biggest move, was 12's KJ to Early Today.<font color=blue>

I think most markets were more competitive 20 years ago. There certainly is a myth that Providence was more competitive 20 years ago. At that time, reporters in Providence routinely moved to Boston. According to the previous poster, they still move to Boston -- Fox 25!
