Is Q101.9 leaning more towards Hot AC?

When listening to KQXT in San Antonio I noticed that play more stuff they wouldn't touch 5 or 6 years ago. Is Adult Contemporary music just going more mainstream or is a format tweak in store for that station? What will we expect as we roll in to 2011 for Q101.9?

25-34 year-old office workers want more contemporary music. They don't have much affection for the music of 1985, because they were 9 years old or less when it was current. ;)

Probably makes sense for them to go Hot AC because Magic 105.3 sounds like an Adult Contemporary station the last time I heard it.

Solution: Make Mix 96.1 a hot AC and re-image Q1019 to CHR. IMO, the "Mix" moniker makes more sense as a hot AC than a CHR.

I thought about that long time ago, interesting how at CHR such as Mix 96.1 has a AC/Hot AC moniker such as "Mix" and AC station such Q-101.9 has CHR moniker as "Q" That would probably make sense. Anything is possible.

Or they could place the Q on 96.1 and go back to their CHR days of the late 80's early 90's as Q 96.1 or Super Q 96.1.

That would confuse people too much. If diaries were still done in this market that would be suicide.

Or Bring back K-MIX as K-Mix 101.9 revive calls KMMX or KMIX, and for Q 96.1 Revive it as KSAQ of course they would have to buy it from 102.3's CP owner. Should have done that when KTFM got revived.
