Is Radio None going to take on another losing venture?

I heard a rumor that since Radio None has had such great success with their current 3 properties (WRNB - Tom Joyner was a .6 IN DEMO in the last trend, the rest of the dayparts are non-existant. WPPZ - priced like an AM station that no one wants to buy. WPHI - is actually in WORSE shape than it was on 103.9) that the braintrust is looking into purchasing 97.5?

Does anyone have any info that would confirm this?

If it's true, what Urban format could they possibly go to?

Oh, and I guess it's an aniversary of sorts for Radio One...wasn't it this time last year that they fired up WRNB? Who would have thunk that the station would sink faster than the Titanic?

Line to start New Y100 rumors forms here...

Urban talk? Since Radio One is starting that Urban network.
Only problem: the network only covers nine hours per day. They'd have to come up with other talk hosts to fill out the day.
Another option: A station like Mix in NYC. Classic dance.
Or, could they go for a Spanish language format?

You sure about that? Two good trends while giving away $50,000 do not make up all the MILLIONS OF DOLLARS they cannot earn with that dawg of a station. Who really would buy that station other than someone looking for a dirt deal? Ever listen to that station and hear who advertises? Didn't think so.
