Is Rock 100.5 going away?

Based on the songs they have played this last hour I don't get the hint that they are changing.

Comedown - Bush
Nothin' But A Good Time - Poison
So Cold - Breaking Benjamin
Have A Cigar - PINK FLOYD
Break - Three Days Grace
Wild-Eyed Southen Boys - 38 Special
Down In A Hole - Alice In Chains
Sweet Emotion - AEROSMITH
Country Song - Seether

Maybe my Soft AC or WCNN simulcast ideas are coming true!

Sounds like they are targeting the audience stuck between River (too old and soft) and Project (too new and loud). Although the "Kaedy's Covers" weekend has River into some deep cuts, as well as burnouts like "Blinded By The Light".

Speculation, tweet from McVay, Cumulus VP radio insight.com

Tomorrow...a station in a major market drops music to become 100% Sports/Talk. Hmmm. What city/station could that be?

Yesssssss.....take that everybody. I might be right!

I know I am blowing this thread up.... but can you imagine it:

Sports Radio 680 and NOW 100.5 The Fan!

From RadioInsight:

So question becomes is it KTCK Dallas KNBR San Francisco or semi-related WCNN Atlanta making the move to FM tomorrow? - http://ri2.us/tdmUZx

I pick ATL!

I hope its Atlanta because 93.7 is not that great where i live. Considering that Dallas already has 2 FM sportstalkers and its AM Ticket is the best rated that Dallas maybe the first 3 FM sports talk market.

Its possible that San Franscisco might get a second one with KNBR making the move.

I saw the mcvay tweet and follow radio insight but is that proof that its Cumulus.

I was immediately thinking that CBS would launch 92.9 as sports since they have FM sports in most of their markets but the Cumulus possibilities seem more likely to me.

THIS SITE is reporting "Format changes in Atlanta GA", but I don't have the $$ to find out, so I go to THIS SITE which is free, but no exclusive news that some people would pay for so they can break the news on this site. ;)

I think they might have been talking about RHo's article on WGST/105.3

Prolly, But WAIT! I just realized - there can't be a major format change without Randy & Spiff!

(Boy, that was low...) ;D

Rock 100.5 just played should I stay or should I go. I think They should go!

MmmmmmmmHmmmmmmm

Songs that give us a clue as to a possible switch(all played during the 11PM hour)

On Now--
Sunday Bloody Sunday- by U2. (today is bloody for them)
Won't Get Fooled Again (Meet the new Boss, Same as the old boss)- Who (they are fooled)
DJ signs off-
Pretty Noose- Soundgarden (getting the noose)
AC/DC- TNT (about to blow up!)

It could be bloody for WNNX!

But they are still teasing for Monster Jam this week at 11AM and 4PM.

Next songs up:
S.T.P- Wicked Garden

Past midnight and nothing has happened. I guess my song meaning techniques are not very good.

This is a major giveaway:

From Mike McVay:
@kent_ahrens @radioinsight YOU ARE GETTING WARMER. I DIDN'T SAY WHO OWNED IT, DID I? SOME TRADES HAVE RUN WITH IT. WILL THEY BE RIGHT?

That means that Cumulus might not own the station they simulcast.....hmmmmmm. Dickey owns WCNN.

Sorry Guys. Mike just tweeted that it was WMTI in New Orleans.
