Are they doing a special theme weekend. Has the music changed this weekend much from their regular format. Just curious.

they are, the A to Z classics weekend, or something like that, not playing much hip hop at all either

They are running new liners now saying "This is the NEW 93.3, WHRP" and "Today's R&B and your favorite jams, 93.9.".

You may not remember, but a few weeks ago I posted that they are in transition from Urban to Urban A/C. Well, that change became official today. "Power 93.3" is gone. It's just "93.3 WHRP". Huntsville has an Urban A/C for the first time of the FM dial.

Now, if we can just get a good, strong, solid signal, and fully Alternative Rock station in Huntsville or Gadsden, then we will be set. Oh well, it's just a pipe dream now.

Well, the Huntsvegas radio flag is at half-staff with the untimely passing of Power 93.3. Gosh, remember the good-ole days when Power 93.3 mopped We-Up's booty across the floor? Oh yes, that's right...it was only one or two books and it was when Power played a relentless mixture of Hip-Hop and Rap. That mixture was just what Huntsvegas wanted to hear and the city ate it up with a spoon and fork. Guess the Cumulus folks are alergic to success and eventually watered down the format to the point that people couldn't trust it anymore.

Who knows....Maybe Boogie 93 might come back. Ahhhhhh dreamssssssss.

Boogie 93! That's "old skool". Do you remember JT
and the All Night Soul Session,

They could bring back the first Power 93 from 1988-1990.
A good station until the Amway salesman became the GM.
