Is the earlier Christmas switch ever?

November 9th and it appears that both 102 and 96 are playing all Christmas music? Don't believe it's ever been single digits in the November dates before?!?

Amazing! This board didn't even get a chance to hold its annual All Christmas Music predictions. Agree, it's the earliest All Christmas music flip ever. I'd wager WHTT is justifiably pleased. The Breeze might benefit too.

Who actually switched to Christmas 24/7 first? Did they both do it at midnight last night?

Gee, with all that's going on at JOY, is anybody surprised? And I'm sure that Star's had the hard drive ready to roll, and was just waiting to see when WJYE hit the switch.

Maybe WJYE will have a viable morning show by Dec. 26th. Or maybe they'll actually continue Christmas music until Jan. 31st.

Darn! They always say "get your bets in early to avoid getting shut out" but this is ridiculous! ;) Next year we'll have to open the ticket windows by Halloween.

The reason I knew of it early is kind of an indication of who likes this and who doesn't. My niece announced on twitter how happy she was. My nephew announced he was about to throw up.

"the first song" in september : )

That's funny! :D
I remember a few years ago someone in Toronto did something similar on September 25th. One Christmas song in a morning show just to remind everyone that Christmas is only 3 months away. :D

In the holiday spirit (or should I say non-spirit) of the season, I was saddened to read about DJ Dave Jickster having his bicycle stolen during 97 Rock's annual food drive.

His excellent efforts were soured by the theft. His bicycle - valued at $600 - was a brand new purchase.

Bah humbug to whatever Scrooge stolen Dave's personal property when he was doing great work for our community!
