IS the Ibiquity Count accurate???

On an urgent evening race to the Rio Grande Valley... as I passed by Corpus Christi, tonight, I was pleasantly surprised to see KEDT adding their HD-2 service What surprised me more was that their HD2 was not listed in the iBiquity site. HD=Yes HD-2= "NO"

This station "IS" on the air. And not in the tally. How many others Might be the same way?

I give up. I can honestly say... I would have suspected the "Official" count was High. Now I'm wondering. The Error factor obviously skews both ways...

Perhaps the Ibiquity count is "realer" than the Sirius or XM.

Well off to "Somewhere in the middle of nowhere.".

Talk to you tomorrow night.

Clouseau....

Works both ways. WWWM-FM Sylvania/Toledo has been on the iBiquity list for a year, yet never a day on the air, while others go unlisted like KEDT-HD2.

SatRad - XM counts are fairly accurate, while Sirius still counts cars on dealers' lots that haven't been driven yet.

I just tried "by market", and entered Charlotte, where nearly every FM is HD, and most of the bigger AMs as well, and it said ZERO! Then I tried it by state, and choose NC, and got the "real" list.

In other words, their website has some problems.

I note the comment about iBiquity's site having "some problems."

Actually, for the accurate count, check listings for ADJACENT CHANNELS as well as the assigned one!!
