Is the MOViN' Fire Over?

Has the MOViN' format wild fire burned out? It seems just like yesterday "EVERYBODY" was jumping on the MOViN' Format band wagon. Is the results causing this format to lose steam?

As the same with JACK?

All this just proves that markets differ, and not all formats work in all places. Jack if VERY popular in LA, and has really paid off for CBS, while it has not worked in San Francisco (Max-FM), and has been a disappointment in New York, last time I heard. I'm not sure why...maybe because KFOG is such an ingrained habit for Bay Area listeners.

I'd speculate that it's too soon to tell about MOViN, but that the potential problem may be that too many other stations aleady rely on the same music. KMEL, Wild, Kiss-FM, KBLX, and even KOIT and KKSF play portions of Movin's playlist. I don't know much about radio in Seattle, but MOViN may do better there because there are fewer stations already playing urban "old school" and "Oldies" (90s) hip-hop.
