Is the Quietstorm 7 days a week overkill?

KRNB is doing that 7 nights a week. I love the music that KRNB play, but they have no countdown show, no mixshow, no specialty shows besides "The Quietstorm". I know many urban ac stations put it in the mix at least either Friday or Saturday night if not both. KRNB is great station music-wise, but is very dull when it comes to programs. Any thoughts?

I wish they'd put on an Old Skool mix show on Saturday night... Club music maybe from 1980 - 1995??? Just a thought.

Anything besides slow jamz seven days a week. Shay Moore, are you paying attention? You are doing a great job, but people can be in love and still want to party sometimes.

They could have a blues show, or some type of party jam show. If they really want to improve the Quiet Storm, fire that Ron Chavious [EDIT]

Anything on any station 7 days a week is overkill. Especially a feature program. There should be a break to regroup for the next weeks broadcast.

I believe if Shay would add some specialty shows, they would improve KRNB's ratings even more. It seems like she or "upper management" is trying to play it safe by not trying any new shows. She did something pretty innovative with evolving KRNB to new r&b. I'm beginning to notice that other urban ac's are doing this. KRNB just need to take it a step further.

I would agree, I think Sean Andre would be a better host for the Quiet Storm than Ron Chavis. He would definitely give Rudy V a run for his money, the Quiet Storm shouldn't be on 7 days a week on Saturdays they could air a mix show or like you mentioned a party jam show with uptempo music.

I totally agree with that. Sean Andre has a "Quietstorm" voice. He doesn't belong on mid-days. I also think they need a woman for mid-days. Their weekly airstaff consist of all men.

Plus its strange to have your "STATION VOICE" working a everyday air shift.

Shay,
I know that Chase Daniels is available now that she no longer works for XM. Fire Ron Chavious, Put Sean Andre on nights and put Chase on in the middays......

I second that.....

HEY SHAY! DID YOU HEAR THAT????......

I noticed they've been mixing the Old School too, playing the 80's, 90's, and today's R&B and they're calling themselves "The Best R&B". Any thoughts?
