Looking at the numbers 12+ on R&R you can see WEEI-FM posted a two point eight in Summer of '05, and a two point nine in Summer of 06. Is it more likely that the five point oh from the Spring book more accurately reflects the Red Sox uptick, or is it possible the Sox only added point one to the station's listening audience with the Sox, as noted by the Summer book? It would seem a stretch to believe both books were flawed, in both directions, so is your guess that Spring was off, or that Summer was off? It has to be one or the other, given WEEI-AM in Boston gained point six from Spring to Summer. I understand the market's different, but not so different that WEEI-FM lost half their listening audience while the Sox were still doing well. Hope was not lost until September.
