Is there a Hits1 / 20 on 20 merger coming?

Before the flame war/ music selection complaints start on which one is better I just wanted to combine some facts and elicit opinions.

It has been interesting so far. Last year the Wutchuwant crew expanded. In 2009, the Hits1 Morning Mashup ends up on 20 on 20 at the end of January. Next they really start promoting the generic moremashup site as a generic middle ground. Then 20 on 20 comes to Sirius Internet Radio in March and now over the last two weeks in particular the imaging has taken a turn from the familiar Sirius Hits1 to this Sirius-XM Hits1, first in DJ mentions, now the liners outside the morning show have changed and even the latest logo now shrinks Sirius and adds XM for Sirius-XM Hits1.

At last reading Hits1 is still the most listened to Sirius music channel. I always kinda felt Pop2K might not make it especially after Backspin was readded in its place but this slow progression has been interesting.

Is my brain reading too much into this?
 
i agree parcially hits 1 sucks during the week only! the weekend count down with spidder harison as well as hit bound with nicole are great they should keep those and play 20 on 20 during the week!

I think it's poorly programmed! Their Top 50 countdown is SO off.
 
What I've heard from a friend is that Sirius Hits 1 and 20 on 20 are now simulcasting the morning show, but they're still separate outside of that time. If Sirius/XM kills 20 on 20, they're really stupid. Last I heard, that was the most listened to channel on satellite radio.

What would change if Siri/XM merged their Top 40 channels together? they did with everything else. The only reason they haven't dropped the 20 on 20 branding is because of the instant gratification of listeners voting and thinking they're programming a channel. Remember when 20 on 20 only was a countdown show over and over again? Now they do it what? 2 or 3 times a day? They've changed the station. just not the name.
