Is there a new place to find new TV data?

Since the FCC still has not got any new maps, is there a alternative to looking at TV coverage maps? I'm surprised I can pull in KTFO-CD just north of Lockhart. I'd like to see the coverage map of that station.

TVFool.com would be my choice, although now that the DTV transition is history they are updating their database much less often. Their last update was May 22, but that did include KTFO-CD.

TVFool's coverage maps are a little different than the FCC's were: rather than a bright "edge" they show the signal strength via a color-coded map. But it looks like Lockhart has good signal strength from KTFO.

Both TVFool and RabbitEars have good maps - more precise than the RecNet and old FCC maps. I think Trip has been more aggressive in keeping RabbitEars up to date with new digital stations, but sometimes he won't have one and you'll find it on TVFool. And sometimes it's the other way around. In either case, I recommend both resources.

I have all of the FCC contours on RabbitEars because even though they don't have a means of displaying them, the FCC is still generating the actual blue lines, which I'm then downloading and displaying as the data is made available.

My Longley-Rice maps are run mainly on stations that are noted in my main listings. I try to create new maps as stations are added, though sometimes I fall a bit behind (like last week and this week). I don't usually publicize this, but I think Bob and dhett among others might find it to be interesting: http://www.rabbitears.info/maplist.php And this is its compliment, for stations in my listings that do not have maps: http://www.rabbitears.info/todo.php

Recently, I've been trying to add maps for stations that are not in the listings but are recently filed. I think I have the whole month of July and much of August. I've been having a hard time keeping up though, so I'm not sure how long I'll be doing that.

rabbits ears, has to be one of the best tv site for information, i already sign on as a member. really enojoy the site. thanks from captex.

Trip,
How do you get the ownership data. There seems to be gaps

Manual entry. As I learn of things, I add them. Not the best system, but the FCC doesn't have any unified data that I can pull from as far as I can tell.
