Is there an Oldies in the wind for Greensboro

Interesting concept! They'd have a hard time localizing it if they did that. Of course, if they only sold it in the Triad and kept the Triad as their main identity it might work. One man's trash is another man's treasure!

Hitz definately seems like the #1 candidate. Satellite receiver? Could they be planning on airing a satellite-delivered format? I think they should keep ALL of their jocks, lots of great talent there that is wasted.

Lots of interesting scenarios here. As the PD of Y102.9 in Raleigh, I've heard NO talk of Oldies
on WZTK. WZTK is showing growth and it takes a long time (or alot of MONEY) to get adults
to chage their listening habits. I believe 'ZTK is in News/Talk for the long haul.

An Oldies station in Greensboro makes a lot of sense, if the owners are commited, and the Sales Team is well trained. We're lucky to have both at Y102.9. We've been up, 25-54, in every successive book since sign on.
And, more importantly, our local advetisers get results!
Our cume, with a Class A signal, is nearly that of several of the 100,000 watt sticks (WRVA, WRSN).

There's Big Love for Oldies in Greensboro/W-S. It may have to be on a less than perfect signal, though.
HITZ does look like the opportunity, if the owners take the plunge.

I owuld think Hitz has a decent sales staff in place...I mean they have survived this long with hardly any ratings and a lot of competition wiht KZL and Simon.

I'm in Charlotte so I'm hoping it's Hitz 94.1. When Magic 96.1 went off here I know lots of people just stopped listening to the radio.
