Is There Enough Sport Radio Around Here?

well, out of the 1679 sports stations in our area, NONE carry the best, most entertaining sports/entertainment show there is : The Steve Czaban Show

LOL @ 1600/1350 for choosing to continue with an awful local sports show instead of Czabe.

WTKT and WHBG must cost next to nothing to operate, because they sure as hell don't get any ratings (or probably bill much at all).

It'd be fun if one of them went all news or liberal talk, but that won't happen.

All of the stations running sports are small AM stations. Each station serves its own small market. None of the AM's serve all of the markets alone. So, yes it is a larger number of stations running sports, but put it all together and it makes about one Class B FM signal.

I'm south of York and can get sports radio (all with listenable signals) during the day on 660/980/1300/1320/1350/1440/1460/1490/1570/1600. At night it all goes away except for 1350. Did I misss anyone?

If I sit outside in a car I might get many of those stations. Many would not be listenable. At night, forget it across the dial except for the local station. In a typical building, home or office building with the usual amount of interference, very few of those AM's would be listenable at all during the daytime west of Lancaster. WHP is about the only AM signal that could cover most of central PA and be listenable a majority of the time.

Sports fans are more devoted than others... I'm willing to bet that many would listen through some static to hear their favorite game or show.
