IS THERE STILL A 50 DOLLAR REBATE???

Amen Pocket-Radio! Both of you guys hit the nail on the head. I look for doing the right thing for AM to be dismissed too. The NAB is all about TV anyway. Radio is sorta along for the ride with those bastards. Too bad radio stations continue to pay their dues because they rarely are looking out for us these days anyway. Anyone notice how little they even put in their "newsletter" spam they send out? That should speak volumes about how little radio means to them... Sad.

Almost without exception, the only mention of radio in the daily NAB Spamcast is about HD Radio.

On all 3 HD tuners, the AM analog is horrible at best, very narrow bandwidth, and strange AGC that lowers the level down to nothing when there is any interference whatsoever on channel or even adjacent channel. If they had a way to open up the AM bandwidth (force it) to 7.5KHz or 10KHz, that would be sweet for LOCAL music AM stations.

Can somebody from NAB convince the boys to make decent RADIOS, not just HD Radios??

I hate to sound like a commercial as I have no financial interest in this whatsoever but I bought a Meduci AMX-2000 tuner along with a twin coil ferrite C Crane antenna. Right now I'm listening to the former CHWO 740 from Toronto I believe here in MA and it sounds as good as FM. It has highs and is clear as a bell and there is NO interference at all which is of course due to the ferrite directional tunable antenna and I live in a highly noisy RF environment, but the combination of this tuner which has a very wide front end and this antenna sounds unbelievable, you want good sounding AM? Try this combo. Sounds like FM. I'm running it through my Marantz 2385 into double large Advents.
