Is this a good way to make money?

My friends at Clear Channel have told me that a certain radio station owner asked them for
3 million dollars. WFBQ would be the only classic rock in town if they'd pay that amount.

Meaning CC would pay for a station to flip formats, or would buy the station outright?

I'd say it's a good way to make money. Not a good way to keep ratings.

I believe what the Dutchman was referring to was an "alleged" offer by an upstart minor-league new station owner to make certain format consessions if CC would pay that owner a fee of several million dollars. If that is true, and by all accounts it appears that it is, then I'm glad the big bad evil corporate owner stood its gound and told him to stick it up his $%#.

I have read public documents on file with the Federal Communications Commission. After reading
them I believe this story is true and so is the other one.

I am truly amazed and disgusted!
