From the Letters section of the Star:
"On June 26 at 9:30 a.m. I was shocked by what I heard the Radio NOW 93.1 FM morning program. The three disc jockeys were running a promotion about the shooting of rapper "50 Cent." The two male jockeys would ask the female a question about 50 Cent and if she got it wrong they would have her turn around and shoot her with a loaded BB-gun in the butt. They kept promising her it wouldn't hurt. They shot her several times and she was screaming and begging them to stop.
Maybe this was all a big joke to the disc jockeys, but to their listening audience it sounded very real. I am horrified to think that a radio station is promoting to children the use of a loaded weapon, telling them that it won't hurt, and forcing this on a woman. This is wrong on so many levels. They owe this community an apology!"
