Just a quick question. I keep up with WIS on Facebook since I am stuck here in IL and saw a weather post from Tim Miller. If this the same one who was on Carolina 92 before the switch? Kinda curious...

He's the Saturday morning "weather forecaster." I can understand why people don't like him.
Tim Miller has more lives than my cat does! How in the flying fudgecakes does people like him continue to get hired in the industry when people that are much more competent are let go?!!
Not ragging on him from a personal standpoint, but a professional one.

Same thing he did with a few people back at Double O. He used them to get inside information to get the GM position and put himself back on the radio and then fired them shortly after.
It amazes me how someone who used to be "Country Legends" when Double O started, had the lowest rated radio morning show, then on WACH Fox TV, again, lowest morning show ratings then puts himself BACK on radio as the morning show on "Carolina 92.1". This guy just can't get it through his head that NOBODY wants him around.
He must be doing something to get someone to hire him. I thought he used up all his lives and burnt every bridge he had ever crossed.
Back in the 70's there was a girl who worked on four different radio stations and two TV stations over a 12 year period in the south Florida area. No offence meant but she had the world's worst voice for radio and TV high, nasal, piercing, and at times squeaky. Yet she moved from station to station over the 12 year period finding work with what seemed like little or no trouble. She later got married and moved to NV with her hubsand where she got a job at a local radio station as a DJ which lasted 6 weeks and was told her voice didn't go well with radio. She got mad left the station and went to work at another station near the same area where she was on the air for a short period but was told she was best suited for the office job. I lost track of her after that but that took 15 years to happen. I would have thought it wouldn't have taken more than 15 minutes to tell the problem, oh well.
sounds like a bunch of sour grapes if you ask me....i used to work for tim..he is one of the nicest,kindest and most generous human beings i have ever known..all the idiots on here trashing his name are probably the ones he had to get rid of or fire because they were lazy and did not want to work or just plain stupid...he probably kept them hired on longer and gave them more chances to straighten up than he really should have...but he did so..because he is such a nice guy...so..we have a few sour grapes out there that are jealous of his success or are mad at him for letting them go...so this is their only way to get back at him..??..lol..hiding being your little computer screen and saying untrue mean things about him..??..wow..!!..can we say...losers..!!..looks like these national broadcast groups see something in him or they would not hire him...they see a very talented and good human being..something very rare to find in todays current culture of self absorbed and mean spirited people...way to go tim...im rooting for every bit of your very desereved success..!!!!
I don't usually comment when things get personal on here because it's more often than not just someone's axe to grind however, the comments about Tim Miller fly in the face of the man. Worked with him on many public service projects over the years and he is one of the nice guys in this business. The good news is people who know him pay no attention to what is said on these boards.
I'll rag on him personally. Ive worked with him. He's as arrogant and self-centered as they come, and will stab ANYONE in the back to advance himself. He's typical of every radio horror story youve ever heard. If it goes well, it was all him. If it goes wrong, he'll blame anyone and everyone. Theres zero integrity there. I admit - I'm pretty disappointed in WIS for bringing him on board, but I also know they'll get sick of his nonsense in about a year or so. I guess it depends on which side of the fence you are on or have landed on or had friends land on for that matter. If there is a lot of people on one side and not the other then I would say that something just might be wrong if it is pretty well split then who knows.
