Is This What Radio Has Come To?

Nope my mistake. It's the radio sore on the Northshore who is cutting loose an old timer today. They have no AM ratings.

Sorry, Trapper, you're at the FM with no ratings. Sorry for the confusion.

Trapper's supposedly at the End. The sore on the Northshore doesn't want the release of this on-air personality made known until after his last show today.

No supposedly, Skip, except it was the country station on 106.7, as opposed to The End.

And to answer your earlier question, the jobs were advertised on All Access and All About Country as well as in local media (HR handles that).

And yes, some stations do have a "BEWARE" quality about them. KKND certainly did when they asked me to come here last year, but I'm not afraid of a risk or a challenge. Unfortunately, the reward didn't follow the risk on this one.

Thanks, Trapper. I'm p/t in a station "down the highway" and was curious for some other sites where I could look for postings for a f/t gig somewhere in south LA. Hang in there. I'm sure you gave it your best shot, and better days are always ahead. Good luck.

Just keep working and re-working that aircheck, LNS. I know you know this...always be trying to improve. And remember, when it comes time to send something off, you may have only 30 seconds to get that p.d.'s attention, so make it count. Good luck.

Well, who got the short straw, today, at WGSO? Was it Clancy or Trahan? You can bet it wasn’t Bernie. (He must have pictures of the owner at the Christmas party....or worse, for the owner.) Rumors have been floating this week that Clancy and Trahan are out. Guess we’ll have to wait until Monday to see who isn’t on the air. My guess is it’s nice guy Ed. Too bad. He’s the only one who’s really okay.

Monday, 6/2, 11am. Bill O'Reilly is on the air. Where is KT? Will Ed be on at noon? Hummmm? Looks like this is what it's come to.

Bill O’Reilly and Dr. Joy Brown crammed in 11 AM to 2PM....then, Bernie. No Clancy. KT seems to be scheduled only for short shows in the evening and on weekends. And, others have been “sitting in” for him. And, the high light of the WGSO evening sports line up is called “The SECOND Team”, which, in reality, is a large exaggeration. “Sand lot” at best. So, that’s what one radio station has come to.
