Is Tom Leykis radio days over?

I wonder if Tom Leykis' career behind the microphone is over. I happened to catch his "Wine show" this weekend and was shocked to hear that his voice had deteriorated even worse than he had during his last year at KLSX. You would think that this rest over the past year would have helped his voice, but it sounded worse than ever. I wondering if his voice is done with and something that can't be fixed. I certainly don't know about any condition that causes your voice to be gone for 2-3 years and then comes back to normal. Maybe that is why he started the New Normal radio to hopefully start a new venture as management.

No, it's about money! That's what Leykis brings to stations that he's on. Once his CBS deal is up, or once another company buys his contract out, or, who knows, once CBS feels they could sustain having another FM Talk station, he will be back on the air.

I remember hearing he suffers from acid reflux.

He doesn't sound like he did at KFI (I caught his podcast from 9/2010), but he sounds a lot better than his worse days in 2006 when the acid (stomach) really hit hard. I remember hearing his wine show and he sounded really bad. He let his co-host do most of the talking.

My guess is having an M-F show will have him taking better care of his throat. Now if we can have the KFI Tom back and dump Like-ass 101.
