Is "Tomahawk Traffic" a winner?

So, I'm curious...how did WGST do in the trend?

Are they kicking ass now with all of that repetitive, unending Braves imaging and coverage like they predicted? Did they steal all of WSB's cume like they said they would?

Man...they spent a lot of money on those rights fees...surely they got a huge bump in ratings, right? I'll bet WSB is sucking wind now, boy!

Admittedly, I did predict early on that the Braves wouldn't help WGST and that only 96Rock would benefit....and that WGST could only lose audience by overpromoting the Braves because they'd be alienating their news/talk core....but I'm probably proven wrong now, right?

Somebody fill me in!

Always remember. Everything that Marc Chase touches, turns to gold.

I have noticed that the billboards around town only reference 96 Rock now. Do the broadcasts have to be on WGST in addition to WKLS?

> You can't blame CC for going after the Braves. It's something every station would like to have, a proven winner (The Braves), and it represented one of the few times GST could say it one upped WSB, so you'v got to give them credit for that win. That being said, I think that given the choice, most people would listen to the Braves on FM 96rock, even in the middle of the day when you can pick up GST with no problem. CC probably recognizes this and thus promotes 96rock much more than GST. (more prominent on billboards, great TV spot, etc). GST can provide more interviews with the coaches, players, an announcers than 96rock, but most people care really about the game.
One more thing, when GST had the Braves in the mid 90's, Matt Stewart did an excellent job with the pre and post game reports. Sorry, but Stu Klitenick and Mark Lempke just don't do it for me. They should have gone with Edgar Tregets.
p.s. Does anyone know where I can get a 96rock/Braves t-shirt? :)

I am guessing Stu Klitenic(the world's tallest female) must have smething on management. Lemke ain't so great either. Their must have been someone out there with a little more likability to them.

WGST has had tiny gains. 96Rock has gone up almost 500% at night in key demos.

GST also has a few billboards touting their affiliation with the Braves.

You're dead right, Larry. I'm sorry, radiopimpin.

Regardless, you have hit it right on the head.

The Hillbilly and his PD (program dog) that hides under the porch have conspired to squander a huge opportunity.

> Amen to all the above.. I will add that WGST can say or do what they want, thier signal is not what its needs to be, therefore, how can the braves do them anygood. Kimmer is getting tired, No real morning presence, good lord, one day this will be the next gospel, or preaching frequency..
