Is Venus really coming?

Did anyone hear those "party never stops" liners over the weekend?

This morning I'd thought I would hear Bob & Sheri but I get Lulu & Brad. I think Cromwell is messing with our heads.

Why hype it if it's not happening?

At least when the Zone flipped, there was a cool liner at 3 pm that day that told us what was going down.

In this morning's "Brad About You" column in the Tennessean, Brad Schmidtt was talking about the change from the Party to Venus and adding Bob & Sheri to the morning show. According to what was in his column, the change takes place in Mid-week, possibly Wednesday or Thursday, as they work out the technical details with the change and syndicators.

Well it seems that the new WVNS is coming. Head to Bob and Sheri's website. It has their new logo as well. All listed under affiliates.

Another Cromwell anti-climatic launch...are the "Bob & Sheri are back," billboards up yet? They could just re-use the Scott Shannon ones from years back and change the logo.

Finally...I just heard the calls after "Give A Little Bit". Venus is here!

Still the same old Party as of 10:30 A Tuesday...wonder if
they are even going to stunt. I hope this thing flies. Anyone
taking any bets?

Well, the new calls are exciting, right?

In scanning over there today a couple of times to see what's going on, I've heard liners under each name -- Party and Venus. Looks like they're in the midst of a slow rollout.

I was surprised, though, to find their signal so weak. Have they scaled back until the full changeover, or is it always this bad in Nashville proper? If it is this bad, they shouldn't expect to attract women. Studies show that unlike men, women won't deal with static to listen, they're much more likely to turn a weaker signal off.

True. Women don't put up with that. The signal isn't strong. I have to admit,
I haven't listened in nine years, seems like they love dead air. Sad thing,
The Fan sounds better (stronger) in Davidson County. Maybe they should swap the Venus with the Fan to kill off the 4 listeners the Fan has.
