Is Wendy Corona newest 11pm anchor at WSB?

I’ve noticed Wendy Corona co-anchoring the 11pm WSB newscast alongside Jorge Estevez for the past week, has she been named the new 11pm co-anchor?

Usually Rodney Ho from the AJC has articles out regarding anchor announcements but I haven’t seen anything from him regarding Wendy being promoted. Or is she just a fill in until Cox media finds someone to replace the late, great Jovita Moore?

I'm wondering how long WSB will not officially replace Jovita. I guess they dont want to rush it because it might make some viewers made. Nowadays stations don't read anchor names during the opening so its sometimes hard to tell who the set anchor is for any newscast. WSB has a deep bench of anchors to cover all their newscasts so they may not actually replace Jovita. Its a different world in local news now. They groomed Jovita for the slot for years while Monica was still there and its gonna be hard to find a person to replace Jovita since they cant groom anyone due to her way too early death. WSB thought they were set when Jovita replaced Monica but life throws you curve balls. Its gonna be hard to find the right woman for the job again. While John Pruitt still holds a spot on the website, Who would have thought that Monica would be scrubed from wsbtv.com but thats what going to work for 46 will do for you. Same way Neal Boortz is scrubbed from WSB radio because he's doing commentaries for another station now.

Nowadays stations don't read anchor names during the opening so its sometimes hard to tell who the set anchor is for any newscast.

In July 2012 around the time of the Aurora, CO movie theatre shooting, I used to bookmark all TV station newscast streams from across the country. Out of all of them from my observation at the time, the only TV station with a news department that never reads anchor names during the opening all year round is ABC7 Denver KMGH-TV in Denver, CO. They display the anchor names at the bottom of the screen during the opening but what's frustrating is if you tune into any of their newscasts late into the newscast and there are solo shots of an anchor, it never displays that anchor's name at the bottom of the screen. At the time, I wanted to follow their news team via Facebook. I'm no longer following them because the bookmarking of the newscast streams took an eventual toll on my old laptop. It resulted in my old laptop crashing. I have a newer laptop now. Today, I only focus on the TV stations in the Atlanta & North Georgia market. This is also true via Facebook & Instagram. On both my iPad & iPhone, in addition to the Atlanta TV station news & weather apps, I have apps from the TV stations of Chattanooga, TN, Birmingham, AL (WVTM 13), the Chattahoochee Valley (Columbus, GA/Phenix City, AL) (WTVM NewsLeader 9), Panama City, FL, and the Mobile, AL/Pensacola, FL area but I only use those apps when I need to if in the event of severe weather and I need their takes on the weather coming in if in the event what the Atlanta TV stations are saying are not enough and I need other opinions on the forecasts for the area. If I'm solely focusing on one of the markets I mentioned, I temporarily unfollow & unlike the personalities from the Atlanta/North Georgia market via social media and temporarily follow & like the personalities from one of the markets I mentioned so I can receive notifications for when they do social media live events. Anyway, that is all.
