Is Wilks gonna be stubborn?

How long until Wilks pulls the plug on WNNK? Are they going to be stubborn and keep that dreadful format on 107.1 or will they eventually flip formats?

I noticed that they almost fell off the last ratings. Is that an all-time low? I'm waiting for the next release on Thursday to see if they can top it

I bet they stick with it. Format changes are typically expensive and from what everyone says Wilks has no interest in spending money on any of their properties except to get them ready for sale. They put the proverbial coat of cheap flat paint on the walls and are waiting for a buyer. At least that's the impression I get. WNNK is cheap flat paint.

I wonder what their asking price is for 107.1?

Don't have the money on me right now, but the Mega Millions is up to 55 Million and I'm feeling lucky. ;)

Hmmm...At the left it says that's your 55th post.  And Mega Millions is up to 55 million.  Might be a good omen and the reason you feel lucky...better get some tickets fast!

Roo,

I will get a few too. If I win, we can split it and make our own 92X/Hot 105. We just need to hunt down Suzy Waud!

Josh, your generosity is overwhelming ;D. I'll bet the other witnesses, er, readers agree. And what better way to use that wad of cash than for a Waud of Suzy??

Noticed that WCLT-FM has a 2.5 12+ share compared to WNNK's 0.6 12+ share. This is interesting
because WCLT doesn't intend to cover Franklin county, at least they don't have a sales dept. here.
Has WCLT-FM ever advertised for listeners on the local T.V stations here?? Dose any one have more info
on WCLT-FM?

Though I've never worked there...

WCLT-FM is programmed and marketed as a local station in their local community of Newark.

To my knowledge, if they've done any TV marketing in Columbus, it's been years and years.

To their credit, the station's ratings have been stable for a long, long time...and that 2 1/2 share represents a sizable audience in the Newark area.

I had the opportunity to work for WCLT 100.3 FM in the mid 90's. I submitted my resume to two stations. This was one of them. It was within a one-hr drive, was locally-owned, and had a good signal. That's all I knew about the station. That's still all I know about the station. :)

After a call from the P.D., I interviewed with him...got the mini-tour...met the afternoon DJ at the time...and headed home. If you've never seen their building/transmitter site before, you guys are in for a real shocker. It was built in the 40's I believe and is super-creepy. An actual silo sits just to the right...yep the farming silo's you see out in the country.

Around back is a barn-type structure where they park their station vehicle. I expected to see farming equipment and an outhouse, but did not find one. Not sure what the studios look like now, but they were certainly not up-to-date in 1996.

I'm not bashing T-100. They have a GREAT signal and I enjoy the music they play. That logo of theirs, has GOT to be over 30 years old, though. I got a call from the P.D. a few days after my interview. George Wolfe (the fill-in PD at the time) from K95 called me just a few hours earlier and by then I'd already made the decision to work for WHOK. At the time they had newly built studios at the Continent, I didn't have far to drive, and it was clearly a better decision for me.

I actually dropped by T-100 last weekend. I was in town to DJ a reception and took a moment to check out the property. It's exactly the same. I'll try & post some pics later tonight that I took with my cell for those that wanna see.
