Is WPEP Still On-the-air?

From north of Boston, I still hear interference to WNSH-AM 1570 in Beverly, the station that's due to boost its power when WPEP fades away. Is WPEP still broadcasting "normally"?

Yes it is, I heard it while in Taunton yesterday. Anyone know the real story? That artile obviously didn't have all the facts right.

I thought they were using a different frequency from a former station in nearby Middleboro

I told people that every time someone reports that WPEP is going off the air, I find out that it's still on 10 years later. It must be a running joke or something.

And does anybody really care? Some of you people get enthralled about stations no one listens to just because they exist somewhere. Has anyone here ever actually listened to the station from the point of view of listening because you want to rather than just to see if they're still out there somewhere?

I guess one show might be on there (1530), but 1570 is still on the air too. I've heard it both with Portuguese and satellite talk in english.
