Is WRDU next?

I went to www.1061therooster.com and got the 94.7 WQDR web page.
What format will 106.1 be?

Who knows? I think this "Rooster Country" format is just another stunt like they did with 100.7 two years ago; the only reason they couldn't name this station "The Bull" is that whoever owns WDNC 620 took it (Sports Radio 620 The Bull).

I used to be a QDR loyal listener until they dissed the Dixie Chicks, and i was a loyal listener to RDU until they canned Alan Handelman, So i have found that 99.9 is playing all of my favorite old songs and new ones....

Smallfry: actual most of WQDR's LISTENERS dissed the Chicks.
QDR plays the the music most Country listeners WANT to hear!

The Dixie Chicks did it to themselves.

Another bit of interesting news: In addition to The River going classic rock, WVBZ in the Triad also seems to have shifted to classic rock (although it kept the Buzzard name and calls). Although the 100.7 signal is the stronger of the two in this area, the 100.3 signal reaches at least the western part of the Triangle. As for the other rumors about Rooster, The River, and Sunny, who knows?
