Is WSB de-emphasizing Clark Howard?

I'm starting to wonder if Clark Howard is being de-emphasized by WSB in favor of Dave Ramsey. I know that Clark's show has been reduced from 3 to 2 hours each day for more Sean Hannity. There is also a lot more promotion of Dave Ramsey in this market than before. Is this something that might make Clark return to WGST?

It may seem that way in the lead up to Ramsey's live event 1/21 at Gwinnett Arena, and it's very likely Dave is paying for a lot of the promotion. At the end of the day Clark and Dave could not be more different IMHO ... in a nutshell Dave's racket is to tell you you're stupid with money ... and then he sells you "trusted" financial services (investing, real estate, insurance, and other products .. ie the "Endorsed Local Providers" Dave talks about) that the sheeple don't question because .. well you're stupid. "Endorsed Local Providers" pay for those leads from Dave, how do you think he could afford this house? http://www.coolsprings.com/news/dave-ramseys-house/

I think they had to give Ramsey some promotion since they kicked him to a later slot at night. Clark gets plenty of exposure already. And I'm happy to hear someone else thinks Ramsey insults his audience. He does. Anyone who has worked with Clark Howard knows he is a very nice guy and treats his audience and employees with respect.

Ramsey's appeal is to an audience who is entertained by hearing callers being called an idiot. That is horrible radio, in my opinion. And then he has the gall to wrap this demeaning programming in religious messages. Incredible arrogance.

Dave Ramsey tells you should never have any credit at all.while Clark Howard tells to to have some credit, but be responsible with it. The cut back is due to the election, and besides it give clark Howard a little more time to focus on his HLN duties.

Clark also appears on WSB-TV and writes a weekly column in the AJC so it seems highly unlikely he'd go to WGST.

I think, as Rhubarb Fan said, it's due to the election, which is going to attract a tremendous amount of interest. And Clark has so many things going on, it sounds like he's fine with it.

Clark's show is boring with his non-sensical chats with callers and much time wasted on irrelevant and empty conversation. If you want to spend time listening to a 'nice man' well, have at it. Don't plan to learn anything. Glink and Komando runs circles around him...hard hitting, fast-paced, and to the point. No time wasted on nice chit chat.

Ramsey's schtik works and has for years. He's not targeting smart people who know how to handle$. It is what it is and very succesful. Yes, his schtik gets old.......but doesn't put you to sleep like the 'nice man.'

And his books are published by Longstreet...Cox again. I am sure Cox is paying for a package deal.

Dave Ramsey doesn't tell his listeners how to "build wealth" in any way, shape, or form. Listening to rednecks yell "I'M DEBT FREEEEE!!!!" isn't compelling radio.

I'm not generally into "tinfoil hat" thinking, but this show smacks of social engineering... "let's keep the stupid people stupid"
