STATUS: Regular, part-time position, 10 to 15 hours a month. Fluctuating hours; days, evenings, and/or weekends depending on station needs.

DEPARTMENT: Associated Students of the University of Puget Sound (ASUPS)

RESPONSIBILITIES: Reports to Associated Students Executive Officers. Educates, advises and mentors student staff in the day to day operations of the radio station. Works closely with the General Manager and Program Director by assisting with the legal, procedural, and financial operations of the station. Maintains station’s license, operators’ licenses, public file, and other legal records required by the University and the Federal Communication Commission (FCC). Enforces University and FCC rules/regulations. Provides for security of equipment and music collection. Serves as Chief Operator for the station. Advises student staff in programming, promotion, fund raising, etc. Supervises training sessions for announcers; updates or revises training requirements as necessary. Prepares quarterly reports regarding station operation. Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and replacement of station equipment including transmitter and antenna. Assists with budget allocation and financial accountability. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Three years of related experience/training to include previous radio station experience and experience with radio station equipment/communication systems. Candidates must be fully versed in FCC rules and regulations of broadcasting. Ability to work in a team management structure and establish effective working relationships with students also required.

it aint't worth diddly.

I don't know that $217/mo for any radio job is a dream gig (Though I've heard that SOME conglomerate stations in Seattle pay almost that badly for board ops!! LOL)

It might not be a bad thing for someone who's retired and doesn't really need the income, but is just looking for some way to stay involved in radio in their free time...
