Isles-Pens Game 5 on ESPN NY 98.7

WEPN siezes on the opportunity to get on the Islander bandwagon by broadcasting Game 5 of their series with the Penguins from Pittsburgh on Thursday 5/9/2013 at 7pm.

Judging from a promo aired on WEPN that used Chris King's Game 4's ending call, they'll likely be using the Radio Hofstra WRHU 88.7 feed. Not sure if it'll include the underwriting announcements, PSAs, game-breaks, etc.

The special broadcast is "brought to you by the tri-state Mercedes-Benz dealers", so maybe they are "underwriting" the cost to WEPN.

Just for the record (in case someone wants to reference this thread for historical purposes down the road): WFAN and WFAN-FM broadcast Game 6 of Isles-Pens on Saturday night 5/11/2013.

Similar to the WEPN simulcast, the underwriting announcements were replaced with commercials on WFAN.
WFAN went with more of the between-periods + post-game coverage from WRHU than WEPN did (Alan Hahn hosted between-periods on WEPN and then came on quickly at the game's end while coverage continued on WRHU).

It was great while it lasted; hopefully better times await the Islander franchise.
