But NOW (within the last 3 mos) out of Movin's top 40 songs played only 4 titles are NOT played by KYLD???? this is a big dissapointment in my mind. not the unique station promised to the bay area in the press release...not what was conveyed in their butt shaking commercials. anybody have any insight on this?

It shows that as much as people lament the absence of a traditional CHR, KYLD has done their homework and knows what the SF audience wants. It's not my type of music, but when I'm out around town my eyes and ears tell me that they're getting the audience they want and Movin is smart to try and take a piece of it.

Wild is not what it used to be. Even with the Dog House there, their numbers were awful after 10...So many people changed the station or just turned it off after the morning.

They probably have went away from hip-hop more or less since KMEL, owned by the same company is the main hip-hop station.

Maybe Wild is trying to tap into another demographic.

So people know if they want hip-hop, go to KMEL. If they want whatever 949 is playing, they'll go there.
