Pop music has gotten very rhythmic recently. Last week I DJed an event and played mostly pop, pop remixes, and I sprinkled in a dance hit every 20 minutes. Had a great crowd reaction, even to the unfamiliar dance music. Today's pop fits in very well with dance and vice versa.
How would a sample hour like this sound? Every song would have a beat, most songs are familiar. The idea is to get the listeners to accept the dance songs too. Z103.5, Wild 102.7, and Party FM are the best examples of Dance CHR.
