More like "mainstream" Top-40 - something that's lacking SOUTH of the North Bay.

Their little bitty signal reaches on both sides of the hill where the tower is though. Something a lot of other Santa Rosa stations don't/can't manage. Penetrating buildings...eh, well, that's another story.

Their studios - the whole building is designed to look like railroad cars and are joined by hallways. It's a pretty nice set up with all digital studios, and fairly new at that. Better than bailing wire and duct tape I guess...<P ID="signature">______________

Yeah...the problem with 'SXY is that their signal just isnt strong enough, they have ownership that really doesnt take a pro-active approach, and in turn that destroys the station.

From CHR-Pop to CHR-Rhythmic to CHR-Pop. The website...lacking. But again, i dont think it is at the fault of the jocks, I think it is the fault of Sinclair.

San Fran: Why the HELL do you not have a CHR-Pop/Top 40. Someone needs to resurrect the Z. A top 10 market...no CHR. Wow.

The problem is San Francisco didn't have a Top 40 when the Z came around... the format needs to be done in a unique way. Standard CHR with heavy Rhythmic lean is a waste in SF. I think something like a KHOP/Modesto would be PERFECT in San Francisco... The Central Valley is Hip Hop'd out, but KHOP is standing strong in the market with their more conservative approach, and TRUE "pop" feel.

Exactly. You need a "big market" KHOP, otherwise known as: Kiss 108 Boston, KIIS LA, Z100 New York...

This is San Francisco!! Not Sacramento! Big market. Big markets ALWAYS (with your exception) have a CHR-Pop/Top 40. The Backstreet Boys are back. Avril and Kelly are huge. Someone stop this whole "Jack"ing off trend and KISS US... lol

KIIS LA is very Rhythmic leaning lately. Check out KHOP's playlist - It is dead on to what I think could work in San Francisco, and they sound great.

I forget who is programming that station now... but Infinity needs to get him for 106.9 to do a Pop station.
