Issues with 4EVER.

I must question the validity of the post however as what frequency is out there to be turned into County in the Altoona area? Most of the market is clearly in the Forever corner. There's Q94, but I don't see them sacrificing themselves in favor of country when their books are pretty solid. There's WGMR which is steadfast on doing CHR. WHPA perhaps...but I am not even sure of the strength and quality of that signal to try and take on the Frog. Unless I am missing something, I don't see who it could possibly be.

It's too bad that this board has to sell out and remove posts that are accurate to those familiar with the situation. That post was so realistic and obviously some people got upset. At the same time, the fact that some people took the post seriously enough to ask for it's removal should indicate something.

Still waiting for someone to reply here or PM me with the scoop on what station is supposed to flip and when. Just can't figure it out seeing how most of the stations in the markets mentioned are all owned by the same company and they'd hardly compete against themselves.
I was skeptical at first, but seeing how someone made the effort to ask for the article's removal...someone must have hit a little too close to the truth.

The station in question is Froggy. The post referenced it getting stale, and that they would be changing to a newer, hipper country format.

If there is truth to that...I have felt for years that its time for them to toss the "Froggy" theme aside and rebrand the thing something like "Y98". But the post I read seemed to imply that a new country station was coming online to directly attack the Frog. I'd happly re-read the post, but it was killed so obviously someone didn't like what it had to say.

Anyway, guess we will wait and see

I must apologize for the wording choice of my above post. I typed without thinking and I regret that. My post was directed towards the Radio-Info board. It appeared to me that they were "selling out" by removing a post. We have no way of knowing whether or not the original post was at all true. It was my opinion that it was removed because there was some truth. I tend to favor the idea of this board not interfering with posts....many things begin as rumors here but turn out to be more truth than rumor. Time will tell how this "rumor" unfolds.

My post was to convey my thought that removal of a post provides some validity to the initial post. I was wrong to say that it was accurate. The people at Forever Broadcasting are great friends of mine and I hope that my post, meant to bash only this forum, is not perceived as Forever bashing.

It does sadden me that some might see me as disgruntled, but I think if you ask most people (those who really know me), they will tell you that I loved my 5 years at Forever---it was the highlight of that period in my life. Those people will also tell you that I benefited greatly from that experience and that I am very thankful for the opportunities. I am also very thankful for where I am at now in life and have no interest returning to Forever. I'm not some bitter dude. I was happy to be there and now I am happy to be doing other things with a lot of potential for personal and career growth.

Do they have some incriminating photos of you, or are they holding your dog hostage or something?

I'm not a dog person...so that wouldn't matter. I don't do stuff to get caught on incriminating photos...except for those few my friend posted on facebook. I do like to keep the record straight.

I actually found the post to be pretty funny, because it seemed very accurate. At least in the way that one would act towards the other. Since my non-compete is over from forever, I can certainly share my opinions and thoughts. I'll stay away from any inside stuff, but I have been reading this board off and on for a few months now and well it's time to have some fun. Plus, it did take them almost a year to remove a reference to me on their corporate website. Final had to email them.
