KKND/New Orleans is just now returning to the air after losing its transmitter in Hurricane Katrina, but without its alternative programming. They now appear to be a country-rock hybrid using the uninventive and predictable handle - are you ready? - "Rockin' Country 106.7".
I'm not sure if it's a stunt or not, but even if it isn't, I wouldn't count New Orleans as a certifiably alternative-less market just yet. It's possible that the format could show up on another one of (KKND owner) Citadel's properties, including the recently-purchased 100.3/KLRZ.
