Wait!! Sunny played "Stay" by Jackson Browne? Wow! There's one of those incredible old songs you hardly ever hear anymore!!!! ;)

LOVE that song...in fact love lots-o-Jackson Browne. I used to close my show on WXMG with The Load Out/Stay every night...all 8:59 of it.

LOVE that song...in fact love lots-o-Jackson Browne.  I used to close my show on WXMG with The Load Out/Stay every night...all 8:59 of it.

That's been a playlist staple for Sunny for at least 15 years, although it may be rested every so often.

But unless something has changed recently, it is NOT the (former) Classic Rock mainstay LoadOut/Stay, but rather the brief "Stay" part only -- remake of the moldy oldie.  Major difference.

I close my show with an instrumental, and it's always different. 119 episodes so far, and 119 different closing instrumentals. All of the songs that precede that instrumental are different each night, too. I'm closing in on 2,000 tunes and can count on the fingers of two hands how many have been played twice. YOU may personally love "lots-o-Jackson Browne", Chuck, but the commercial radio business says that this makes you weird, and if you play much of your JB collection on the air you're gonna soon be out of a job, although I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that.
Christmaswise, for the past three Monday nights the "Secrets Classic" rebroadcasts of "Yesterday's Top Secrets" episodes have been of shows from last December, all of which included a Carpenters Christmas tune, and coming up this December it's going to be a different Beach Boys yuletide number on each of our new shows, which air every Thursday and Friday night.
Hey everyone, why not give that special someone the perfect Christmas gift this year -- take him or her out to see "Pirate Radio"! Yeah, the BBC was as fouled up in the mid-60s as CC and all of the other outfits are now, so Radio Caroline (or "Radio Rock", as it's called in the film) fixed things then ... and "Secrets" is fixing things now.

Uh...YEAH! :-*

Station rim-shots Columbus (in my car at least on the North north end).. Majic 95.9 WYNT Marion appears to have switched to Christmas (looking at their website).

If Smooth Jazz 103.5 had Christmas music in the past I didn't notice. Anyone know if this is something new for them?

They usually do it all day and night on Black Friday and after they mix it in until near Christmas.
