"It Girl' - Jason Derulo - what stations are playing it already?

I already knew about this song before it hit radio. Was surprised that the first CHR station to hear it on was a Cumulus owned CHR.

As for Derulo's new song, I feel it will do better then "Don't Wanna Go Home"

We have been on it a week and a half.....it is a hit. Top 10

^Yeah, I hate to admit it on this board, but I'm actually really starting to like Q100 - it's pretty similar to a Q104/Cleveland or a Mix 106.5/Baltimore though - if CBS owned it they'd be classifying it as Hot AC

Star 94, meanwhile, has become obsessed with the 90s (during the week as well as the weekend), and is playing new tracks extremely infrequently

Thats because Cumulus CHR's play older hits that were once popular on the CHR format years ago. Just the other day the Cumulus CHR here played "Natasha Bedingfield - Pocketful of Sunshine" so I would agree with CBS Radio on classifying it as CHR. The CHR format is surpose to be hit music now, the hottest hits out right now.

Also isn't Mix 106.5 Baltimore more rhythmic then a normal Hot AC. Surprised CBS never fully took Mix 106.5 to CHR as they have Fresh 94.7 in the market

Mix 106.5 Baltimore does seem more Hot AC then CHR. Just by some of the songs they play.

Home - Daughtry
Brighter Then The Sun - Colbie Caillat
Boulevard of Broken Dreams - Green Day

(just a few songs I noticed from the mix1065fm.radio.com playlist)

They actually just started heading this direction a week or two ago (I hadn't even noticed lol)

A few weeks ago it looked like they were almost straight CHR - at least looking at their currents - but yeah it looks like they're going slightly more HAC

I do not get the hate on this board for Q100. Granted I have not listened to the station all that much, but every time I check out their playlist...I would not be able to classify it anything else but CHR

sure they may be conservative about adding certain songs...but what station isn't these days...KAMP is just as conservative(probably even more so) but it is with pop/rock product. Only a select few stations take chances anymore...(IE. WIXX in Green Bay, WI)

I do not get the hate on this board for Q100.

Most people who post here like rhythmic dance/pop, and listen to rhythmic-leaning CHR or straight Rhythmic (even though they post in the CHR forum) - the Hot AC forum gets a post every week or so, and when people do make Hot AC threads, they usually read "Idea For A Rhythmic Hot AC Format" (Surprise!!) or "Hot AC Is A Dumb Format" etc.

Re: WWMX - they still seem pretty CHR'ish to me at night and on weekends - Bad Meets Evil, Nicki Minaj, Lupe Fiasco, Pitbull (some Hot AC's are playing that track, though), David Guetta/Minaj/Flo Rida, Gym Class Heroes, etc - I don't really know what to call them, they're definitely dayparting. Not regular Hot AC, that's for sure.
