It happened again

Once again, WMJI's airing of "American Top 40- The '70s" got the countdown screwed up. They were airing a countdown from this time of year from 1972. One of the last songs aired before the first break in the 11:00am hour was "Goodbye To Love" by The Carpenters. When the show resumed, the next song played was "Sad Eyes" by Robert John which was a hit in 1979. I guess WMJI really ended up saying "Goodbye to 1972".

Curiously, Robert John had a big hit in 1972, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight", but it earlier in the year.
