And Sports Illustrated won't make nary a mention of EEI. Their last story on radio sports hosts/stations was pitiful.

According to Radio and Records.com's ratings page, it seems that Arbritron lumped together WEEI-850 and their Providence-area station on 103.7.

With 103.7 having a good signal up to the southern suburbs of Boston, it's possible a very tiny share of the combined WEEI AM and FM numbers were generated by the FM.

The AM alone probably would either have tied WBZ-1030 for the top slot or would have finished one-tenth of a share point ahead.

Why did WEEI have such success in the all-important Spring book?

Two words: Red Sox.

Only in Boston. By the way, was visiting a radio pal in the Buckeye State and I mentioned how it would be nice if WEEI were to either simulcast or move to
sister station WMKK 93.7...sports with 'no static at all'; nice powerful
signal (at least it is here but hey, I'm two towns away from the 93.7 stick!). He mentioned to me "sports talk on FM has never succeeded in a major
market" (is Prov. a major market? how about WEEI-FM, and WSKO-FM there?)
Well, their ratings at 850 are top of the heap so maybe it's a moot point anyway.

What's interesting about R&R's ratings page is that it mentions that stations which simulcast appear on the same line. Why then, are WKOX and WXKS listed
on separate lines (other than the fact that the current page gives ratings back to spring of '04, and 'XKS was Adult Standards then. OK, then, so since
they list WXKS as "Adult Standards" (Stephanie Miller plays your favorite
Perry Como and Rosemary Clooney tunes!), then why is WKOX listed as "Talk"
and not "Spanish religious"? Whatever.

Comes in well in Hartford too, as I noticed while on I-84 earlier.
