WMJX HD-2 is smooth jazz, I believe. All it takes is $200 for the radio, if you live where the HD signal comes in. I heard it once, in my doctor's office. Sounded great and I'm not even a fan of what is called smooth jazz, though I maintain that, whatever it is, it is no kind of jazz.

Before a recent buyout, the Boston Globe had a media and jazz critic named Bob Blumenthal on its staff. When a "smooth jazz" station first appeared in the market (WSJZ-FM 969?), he lambasted the programming such as you wouldn't believe! (Ok, maybe you WOULD believe because it mirrored much of the criticism WCRB 102.5 FM received when it was destroyed by Mario Mazzo) When WSJZ flipped, I don't recall that any writer at the Globe or Herald said he or she would miss it.

Said it before, I'll say it again...buy an Ipod and load it up. Why does radio have to cater to you?

Ipods, Inernet radio,MTV,and Satelite has nothing to do with what going on local, in Boston. Radio used to cater to the People ( Alot of folks in Boston want Smooth Jazz ). Radio is a Business that dont care about there customers( and Radio group wonder why they are losing money ).

Please learn how to construct sentences, capitalization, the use of the words "a lot" and "don't" and "their" and come back with an intelligent argument.

Jazz failed here before, and no one is doing so poorly that they're going to switch to it. There is no way any corporate headquarters is going to risk blowing up a well run station for coffee shop music.
