It looks another Top 40/CHR has returned to the Rhythmic ranks.

This time its WZBZ/Atlantic City, after spending nearly 6 months in Mainstream. The move took place over the Thanksgiving weekend.

BTW here's their stream:

Yea A totally bone-head move from Equity(owners of WAYV their flagship) to block a format move from a newly bought cluster.... the"buzz" then now KISS(which the owner Gary had to buy the rights for...MORON!!!) was number one as Rythmic and then decided to directly compete with its own flagship(WAYV and KISS shared a lot of songs and audience..MORON!!) Now Equity has realized they needed to change back after alienating its original loyal listeners...and by the way the new imaging is horrific they should go back to the BUZZ and try to sound a little more hip and bring back the edge.

Nope, Kiss FM Atlantic City is still a full blown CHR/Pop station. Check out the yes.com logs.

I'm wondering when Wild 106.1 San Luis Obispo will officially be moved to the CHR/Pop panel as it's long overdue.

Other Rhythmic CHRs that may be moved to the CHR/Pop panel: B-96 Chicago, 98.5 KLUC Las Vegas, 96.1 The Beat Charlotte, 92.1 The Beat Tulsa.

Redding's Power 94 also seems to be heading towards a CHR/Pop direction as are Hot 107.9 Ft. Wayne and Wild 104.9 Oklahoma City.

You might want to tell BDS and Mediabase that, since I don't see the two making panel changes until early 2009, at best.

Yeah, BDS and Radio & Records have their work cut out for them. It's not totally their fault though as some of the Rhythmics that lean CHR/Pop end up moving back to Rhythmic. Then again, stations like B-96 Chicago and 98.5 KLUC have slowly been evolving to CHR/Pop for some time now.

I wonder what the deal is with Wired 96.9 in Spokane. They gove All-Christmas so I wouldnt count on them coming back as a Rhythmic CHR. I wonder if they'll try to fill the CHR/Pop hole instead.
