Says they're running - gee, how original - 10,000 songs commercial-free... But at least whoever is manning their Facebook page is actually talking back to the listeners commenting on the new station.
 
I will be surprised if Alpha doesn't get sued for this. They completely ripped off KITI-FM (Live 95) just 70 miles north on I-5. KITI has been using the "Live" name since at least 1995 on 95.1 fm...so it will be interesting to see what happens.
 
It might just be a coincidence. I don't think I've been up there since they've been on the air. I was completely unaware of their positioner or even format and I'm a "radio guy"!
 
@Co_Radio: Reminiscent of how Z-100 in New York got "Z-100" in Philadelphia to take it down a letter to "Y-100" many years ago...
 
I was critical of the "next generation AC" concept when they launched. But I have to say they are doing very well.
 
But Live 95 isn't.
