IT needs processing...

IT is coming soon and needs high quality audio processing. I decided to make this fun...

This weekend, I am assembling a 32 bit Windows 7 computer with the audio kernel patch. It will also have Winamp and its version of Stereo Tool (paid version) installed. The OS and other stuff will be going on a 128 gB solid state drive. The computer is an Intel dual core overclocked to 4 gHz with 4 gB of RAM. Music will be stored on its internal 1.2 tB drive backed up with a 2 tB USB drive.
The computer will also have an output patch and a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card.

I believe the encoder will be Edcast. Two streams will be available: 256 K MP3 and 64 K AAC. Hundreds of streams will be available.

Music will be all over the place - after all, IT plays what IT wants to play!

Here's where the fun comes in. If anyone wants to make a preset, I'll be glad to put it on at an agreed upon time so they (and the rest of us) can hear their preset. The person whose preset IT winds up using will win a nice but not that expensive prize (I guarantee you will like it!).

IT is not looking for ultimate loudness, nor elimination of every peak out there. IT seeks long term listening. IT wants a nice, musical yet consistent sound.

Anyone game?
