"IT" on Decades Channels

I hear the annual presentation of "IT" is planned in the coming weeks. Any idea of the start date, I understand they will actually start with some newly acquired recordings from the late 20s and continue through the channels into the 90s on 9 and conclude with the latest current singles on the Billboard charts. My question....When does it start?????

Pardon my ignorance, but what is "IT" ??

you must be a less than a year member of the XM nation. anyway "IT" is a playback of almost every recorded popular song recorded that charted the top 40 or close to it. "IT" spans the decades channel. "IT" starts on the 40s on 4....after it concludes there, it goes to 50s on t, etc etc, until the last current song on 2006 is played on the 90s on 9..I understand that this year, the number of songs has been expanded to include some rarities from the late 20s. It takes about 3 - 4 weeks to complete and is very entertaining.

Thanks! Actually I've had XM for nearly 3 years and just hadn't heard "It"
My musical tastes are perhaps a little more eclectic. :)

Is this IT any relation to "Cousin It"? You know the guy/girl with the lonnnnngggg hair on the Adams Family.
I'm sorry I couldn't resist when I saw this topic. Kind of fun listening to the begining of IT today. These were songs that were big when my dad was in 1st grade. Thanks XM for doing this.Being a member of the XM nation for less then a year this is my first exposure to IT

this year IT is slightly diffrent. it starts from the 1920s and ends in august 2006..i love it when the rarieties hit the 70s and 80s channels.

I know they greatly expanded the 90s "IT" list over the past few years. They added alot of techno songs, and then they'd play some obscure R&B songs that didn't even hit the Top 40, like one that maybe only hit #73. That's probably the only time you're thinking "WHO CARES?!?!" But now I understand their going to go through 2005 or 2006. That will make it even more interesting. So now XM needs to make another PDF file so we can keep up with the more recent stuff. When I listened last year, I kept up with the PDFs. Most played in exact order, until they got to the 70s, then some songs got out of order. And then when you get to the 80s, a few years ago, they actually added to the end of the list songs that Bruce Kelly forgot to put in. Then last year they did the same thing. Maybe Bruce can put all the forgotten songs in the list, in the right order.

I suggest you quit watching the Munster's and Addam's Family reruns. Your humor is now outdated. IT is special show that XM runs periodically every 6-12 months. When it first started it was called the "Monster". Part of my assumption is , it was causing some possible trademark conflicts with Monster cable, so they changed the name to IT.
