It Takes A Big Man To Do This (Apologize For My Past Actions)

Hello All,

For years now, I've enjoyed posting my thoughts on this site. This forum gave me a chance to share my thoughts and learn more about the radio business. During the course of my stint here, some feathers may have been ruffled by the things I've posted on here. If this is the case, I want to offer my sincere and humbled apology to you. I didn't mean to hurt and/or harm anyone in anyway.

I still plan on posting my thoughts on here, as I continue to learn more about the radio business. I'll be more careful with the words I use in the future and will think before I speak.

For those who have enjoyed my posts, I want to say thanks for enjoying them. For those who have corrected me in some way and/or got on to me for the things I have said, thanks for your rebuke. I needed it.

I'm still fascinated by the radio business and see a lot of good in it. I did enjoy my stint as a radio announcer, back in the late 90s, when AFR Selma gave this slightly handicapped person a chance to speak to their listeners and Minister to them. I'll always be grateful to the late Mr. Dean Wilson, Mr. James Hamner and Mr. Richard Wilson for this wonderful opportunity. If God does allow it and things do work out, I would like to someday do this again. While I'm waiting for that door to open, I'm going to carry on with my writing career and hope that this part of my Ministry will soon take off and have even bigger success. (A.K.A. Finding a publisher for a book I just recently written and releasing a new Devotional Book, that's now in the works.)

I know that starting up a new radio station, from scratch, takes money and time. If God does allow me this opportunity, to do it, then I will be rejoicing and celebrating this wonderful blessing He has bestowed on me. My presentation will be an outreach music program for the Youth population, if the door does open. (Something like WAY FM from Nashville) I want to air a program that'll relate to this population and minister to them in some way.

As I continue to learn about the radio business, I want to thank everyone for all there responses. Even if they ruffled my feathers, I still want to say thanks anyway.

I guess we've all done that at some point on here...made some sort of opinion and done it in a way which could have been done more appropriately. Personally, although I wouldn't have worded the WJAM post the way that you did, I didn't really see it was done with any sort of malice. I really feel the other party who responded to your post is more in line for giving you an apology. I'm not really sure if that person was in fact one of the Alexanders (considering anybody can register on here and pose as someone else), but I would hope it was not. Although I agree he has a right to "call your hand to it" and disprove the comments you made regarding his stations, I thought it was highly unprofessional for him to make disparaging personal remarks about you in his response. He should know better, or I would hope he would, anyhow.

A lot of the folks on the boards here don't take too kindly to me, either. I've gotten used to it over the years. Some folks think that because of the anonymity of the internet, they can make all sorts of insulting personal comments about other people online and do so because they can get away with it. I imagine that most of these people who make these types of remarks on these boards would never even entertain the idea of doing it face-to-face.

I'l be praying for your ministry endeavors. Hope everything works out for you. :)

Thanks man for the post. I do have other outside work I'm involved with too. To keep my writing career afloat, I help my father do some yard work. This outside work helps me to buy the materials I need to release and then pass out my various publications and resources that I share with others.

It takes money to run a Writing Ministry too. If it wasn't for the outside work, then I'd be unable to do this. Glad that I'm able to help in the outside duty, so that I can keep on writing for the Lord and sharing His Word with those that have a need for it.

If my radio ministry works out, I won't be in it for the money. I'll be in it to help change lives and lead lost "Young" souls to the saving knowledge of Jesus. And yes I'll have to keep on doing the outside work to help pay off those bills too, if the door does open.

RDP,

Maybe one of the Selma stations would let you broadcast a program aimed at the youth if
starting a new station seems to be out of the question. That MIGHT be a possible way of at least getting your foot in the door.

It takes a lot of door pounding to get a "yes" to anything involving radio, and a thick skin. Si keep
praying and God will open that door if He sees it. When He gave me a "no" to local terrestrial radio
ownership I started an Internet station, and that was over 9 years ago. I'm still operating it.

You have a wonderful heart for the Lord and I know you are sincere. I pray He gives you an answer soon.

Good luck RDP! I can't speak for others but if you and I disagreed on these boards then have no worries about it. All need an avenue to vent and this is the place for certain circumstances. All of us have (and continue) sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.

To Mr. Alan,

Been there and done that. It didn't work out. No one had an interest in doing this.

You may be right on the internet idea. I may have to fish for that, if building a new station from scratch doesn't work out.

P.S. My writing career got started because of Prayer. The radio stint came about because of Prayer. Getting this Computer and the other items needed to produce the resources I pass out came through Prayer. Finding a publisher for my new Bible Promise Book and releasing a new Devotional Book will happen only through Prayer. Making a return to Radio broadcasting will only happen through Prayer too. I believe in Prayer and do it very often. Because of all my Prayers, I've seen God take a nobody and turned him into a successful writer and communicator of His Word. Hope He'll expand my reach and allow me to get into other avenue(s) of presenting His Word to the mass public.
