Where's Tony Soprano and his henchmen when you need them?
I think these Italian shows will prove these 'goombas' are less Italian and more Jersey. And the same can be said about The Sopranos and every other so-called Italian-American themed shows/movies which takes place in North Jersey/NYC.

BTW: As a kid growing up in Camden county NJ I always wondered how something as fragile as a fur coat can look so good after falling off the back of a truck. ;)

I thought they wouldn't have said something this soon about next season. It wasn't till after Season 1 ended they announced for a Season 2.

Though nevertheless, I consider "The Sopranos" to be more Italian than Jersey Shore. Heck, I consider "Cake Boss" to be more Italian than Jersey Shore.

They aren't either. They're mostly Italian American or Sicilian American- but they're also of mixed decent (Polish, Puerto Rican, etc) and entirely American through and through. They'd be an embarrassment to any real Italian or Sicilian.
