It's 106.7 for the Oldies

I'm talking about oldies like Greg Talmadge, Bill Cellar, Kevin O'Brien, Fred McFarland, Kristin Charles and Matt Hoffburg. They all were on the air at either 101.5 or 106.7 and are now back...doing traffic on 106.7. (Matt is the exception; he was the morning show producer for Kicks.)

I guess they're all working for Radiate Media, which provides traffic reports to Cumulus stations. This has to be some kind of record for talent being back on the air at the station from which they were let go (or a victim of a format change).

To answer your question-- Greg Talmage (Picciano), Kristen Charles, and Ty Hunter are all employed directly by All News 106.7. The other traffic reporters are all based in the NewsCenter, but report to other channels. For instance, Fred McFarlin is the traffic reporter at WABD 97.5 in Mobile, as well. Bill Cellar and Kevin O'Brian have other stations.

Some anchors/staff have started out as traffic reporters. Larry Mayher, Fonda Smith (News Director), and Linda Bond, just to name a few.

Larry did not start out as a traffic reporter, Fonda is not, nor ever was, News Director.
