Some might remember me from a few years ago and some may not. But for those that do, I hope all is well and I'll be in town for the holidays if anyone would like to grab a drink or dinner! I love it here in WV but nothing will ever beat my home town of the 'Nati! I miss the great radio that is in Cincy! Take care!

Yeah, It got kinda nasty over there. A couple friends of mine here at the station and a few friends at home thought it would be funny to mess around with those guys over there. What was intended to be an innocent prank turned out pretty ugly. O'well. I've left those forums far behind. Nothing good could've come out of that situation. I just counted my losses and moved on. My PD is one of my best friends and him and I were talking to our OM. They asked me to stop posting there because I guess they've had problems in the past with Jocks posting materiel there that was either inappropriate (guilty) or classified station material. Lesson learned.

So, I've been familiar with these boards and I used to post on here when I was on the air at Q102. I have a lot of good friends in the Cincy radio market and I miss you all. A lot has happened in that market since I left two and a half years ago. Lots of flips and ownership changes. Craziness!

Good to know about the WV radio board...

I'm sure you know, but it's always fun to go back in time:

WTIO-FM (now "Electric 102.7") came on the air in September 1964 at 102.7 mhz, with 50 kw power, simulcasting programming with WTIP AM.

I was a very young kid when they were "stereo" broadcasting elevator music.

For many years (mid-60's to early 70's) it was known as the 'Beautiful Music' station of Charleston.

Keep in touch!

I've seen some posts from you on the West Virginia radio board.

Since I worked there in radio (back in the day) and grew up in Huntington, I try to follow what's going on....

Was in Huntington/Charleston a few weeks back - tuned in to your station WVSR 102.7

Yeah, I've had the blessing of working on some of the best heritage stations in radio. Well, that's my opinion at least. Warm has been around forever and a day. We all know the history of Q102 and the influence it has had on the Cincy market over the years. And now one of the most known and historic signals in WV. I think we (WVSR) are one of the only 50,000 watt FM's left in WV and I am pretty sure that was "grandfathered" in. I could be wrong tho.

I grew up in South Lebanon and went to Kings High up by Kings Island. I listened to WEBN and Q102 growing up. Those two stations and the jocks on there at the time. They were a major part of my childhood dream to work on the radio.
