They're down to at around #21 or #22 in the ratings so far

Havent had one since 92.1 went to the Possums...
I was really hoping Platinum would go Rock and Roll

The music still needs some focus, they still play too many "bad" songs because they're soft (Tracy by the Cuff-Links). And I think the cutsie RC imaging has run its course. Ron gets on there and plays to what's left of his "crowd." if you don't get his quirkiness then the liners etc. sound like what they really are, dumb.
I think they make money, when we bought them a few months ago I felt they were priced right for what they deliver (long-hour listening, not PPM friendly but I don't think that's the point). KLUV is still a better, more diverse buy. They are a local, emotional buy for an advertiser. If part of the plan is to be a training ground for sales weasels to learn how to SELL to local clients, then they're doing the industry a favor (I hold my breath on that though).
They're compared to (I think it's) Love 105 in Minneapolis. I'll be there in a few days. It'll be interesting to hear what the parallel is between the two.

Try the Dove in Tampa. This is what a true AC is all about and it's #1 in the market. Very good music variety.
it was oldies. hard to believe it Flipped 3 years ago... Didnt Know KLUV was a factor in that. I always thought it was a nice alternative to KLUV.rbrucecarter5 said:LibertyNT said:I still think Dallas needs a Bada** Rock and Roll Oldies Station.

92.1 was oldies - I thought. Couldn't compete with KLUV so they became yet another country bumpkin station. Off my presets that very day.
